Research

The Pfefferle Group research is focused in two areas: combustion of renewable fuels and nanomaterial synthesis. We are sometimes too busy to keep this section of our website updated, but we post most of our conference presentations to Figshare. Some recent examples include:

Aurora’s presentation on the stability of ammonia flames, US Combustion Meeting, March 2023, College Station TX, Figshare link

Charles’ presentation on using X-ray fluorescence of seeded krypton atoms to measure temperature and mixing in flames, US Combustion Meeting, March 2023, College Station TX, Figshare link

Dominic’s presentation on trends in the sooting tendencies of alkanes, US Combustion Meeting, March 2023, College Station TX, Figshare link

Peter’s presentation on the sooting tendencies of polyoxymethylene ethers, Fall ACS Meeting, August 2022, Chicago, Figshare link

Aurora’s presentation on the sooting tendencies of phenolic hydrocarbons, Fall ACS Meeting, August 2022, Chicago, Figshare link
